Chhapaak Film Review – Deepika Padukone makes you cry

Sliding through various ups and downs including numerous controversies Chhapaak finally hits the theatres with a bang.

Meghna gulzar’s chhapak is the inspired by true incident of acid survivor Laxmi Agrwal.

Deepika padukone plays the central role of Malti who was attacked by a horrifying acid attack in the daylight on Delhi streets by one of her knows.

We first see Malti on screen where she is dealing to get a job to over come her emotional trauma and for physical state she went under various surgeries .

Yet the film directs away from melodrama and showcases a powerful protagonist who resolves to fight rather than just sitting and cry.

Throughout the whole film we just see a powerful individual who wants to fight and doesn’t pitty herself.

As a constant support of her whole journey from filing PIL to ban the acid sale to amendment in the acid violence legislation.

Her other main support was Anmol (Vikrant Massey) who employees her to work in his NGO.

Deepika padukone is the soul of film where as Vikrant Massey and Madhurjeet sarghi pitch in a very comfortable performance.

The music tracks stand outstanding with Chhapaak title track and Nok jhokh.

Chappak is a very sensitive film yet very powerful.

It is a must watch
