Actor Sayani Gupta will be seen on the British medical show The Good Karma Hospital Season 3, as a medical attendant who falls prey to an acid attack.
The series, that was shot in 2018, has a couple of tracks, one of which follows Sayani’s character Jyoti who needs to experience 17 remedial phases of medical procedure and medical methodology after the attack.
Sayani said this was one of the most “satisfying and heartbreaking characters” she has played up until now.
“I experienced 17 phases of acid attack and surgical prosthetics and Davy Jones, a BAFTA winner prosthetics genius and Abby did some groundbreaking work on me.
“Graham Frame who is one of the most senior and regarded cinematographers from Britain shot the show. I took in a lot from him too and we had an excellent condition,” the actor said in a statement.
The series is set in a hospital in Kerala and was shot in Sri Lanka for over three months. The Good Karma Hospital Season 3 premiered in the UK on March 15.
